You have probably heard that the Mabuhay Gardens is reopening.

Tambre Bryant & Tonus Atkins have been on the scene for a long
time, booking punk and metal shows and as host of KUSF's Rampage Radio,

Unique that this could happen in less than 12 months after Dirk Dirksen
passed away.

The first show is Friday Sept. 7.

We (D'Jelly Brains) got invited to support Ralph Spight (from Victim's
Family) as support for his side project The Freak Accident.

It's the very first show at the reopened club.

Hard to believe. Went by there to check it out last night.
Locked and shuttered. No way to see in. But at least no sports bar, yuppie tunnel crowd, meat market. The alley was all cleaned up. Strip club where The Stone used to be.

Strange coinkydink? John from VKTMS (with D'Jelly Brains) and Ralph from Victims Family (with side project The Freak Accident), both back home where they started at the Mabuhay Gardens. Maybe not.
Weird though, a little bit. But maybe not as weird as going back there in the first place.
Excited anyway. Looks like a lot of cool shows are booked to follow.
The opening night should be wild.
