Billy Future is the champion Odds-Evens thrower in a semi-underground league of louche gamblers in 1957 New York City.
He is so good at guessing other people's choices for putting out one
finger or two, one could hardly call it guessing. Against the backdrop
of the last day of the last baseball season before the city's beloved
Giants and Dodgers are slated to move to California,
Billy must face his most formidable opponent yet, an up and coming
southerner called The Savannah Kid, who turns out, shockingly, to be a
housewife fleeing her domestic life, and who is determined to upend
everyone’s sense of reality.
