About 4~D DREAM-a-Thon:

This bi-monthly series provides a venue for film/video artists who use experimental techniques to push the boundaries of traditional cinema.
In addition to showing contemporary works from both local and international artists there will also be nightly screenings of early experimental
film and video art. Live music or performance will open each night’s show in a cabaret-like setting.

Here's what other people are saying about us:
'This bimonthly series aims to trip you out with avant-garde, non-narrative, irreverent film offerings with music accompaniment and live projections.'
-Reyhan Harmanci, SF Chronicle

and about our re-occurring Acid Shows:
'The American experimental filmmaker Kenneth Anger (Aleister Crowley's cinematic heir apparent) has often said that his films are, in fact, spells.
The local 4-D Dream-a-Thon crew casts its own form of celluloid black magic in Acid Show III, a freaky concoction of flashlights, homemade analog synthesizers, and 16mm occultism that brings to mind both the Summer of Love 'happenings' and current practitioners of live cinema like Animal Charm and Bruce McClure. Sandy Ding performs with flashlights and projections, accompanied by the Dog of Tears (filmmaker David Chaim Cohen on hand-built synth), followed by the SF premiere of Ding's charmed film Water Spell. – Matt Sussman, flavorpill.com
